Project of the Month October 2016

Seamless transition

Before

With a tired outdoor area not meeting their needs, the owners of our project of the month home wanted to modernize, yet create an alfresco area that looked like it had been built with the house.

The old area was tired and dark. Our brief was to bring in the light, have good coverage when the sun was too bright and allow for a breeze.

Important to this family was having a seamless transition from their house to the garden. They also wanted to maintain the look and feel of their alfresco by retaining the existing paving, potted plants and garden area.

After

An arbor area with Operable Louvre was installed, allowing light and breeze control, and access to all year round entertaining.

Leaving the existing tile and surrounds integrated the new with the old, ensured the alfresco area is an intrinsic part of this family’s home.
